Without a doubt, the most difficult thing about walking across Tibet is the altitude. The altitude drains you of your strength and endurance; simply put, you are not the man or woman you are at sea-level.

As well as dehydrating you, it also wreaks havoc with your lungs, skin and appetite, which by the way, you still need to walk to Kathmandu. Where there's pizza and beer which, by the way, trumps altitude.
